I tried so damned hard to get that Vine to auto-play the audio, so when you'd scroll down it would blast you with unmuffled 289 small block goodness. But it didn't wanna do it.
Here's another with both 'Stangs idling. The 65's exhaust is notably louder (not that the 390-powered 67 could be called quiet), so that's most of what you're hearing. Also, since both cars had brand-new, buckboard-stiff window seals, Chris (left) and Moray soon realized it was quicker to just open the damn door rather than wrestle with the window crank.

Haha yeah, I put my headphones on and scrolled back to it, I'm glad I found out quickly there was an unmute button!
Instagram is blocked here, I'll have to check this out when I get home.
Also I must learn which models of Mustang receive the 390. I've been looking on CL for trucks powered by the 390. Since it seems to be a much cheaper way to get into cars from that era, haha.
Also thanks for an excellent article (so far) still have to finish reading.
